Study on Cooperative Learning of College ESL Writing in Network Environment

With the sweeping influence and wide application of multimedia and network in college education, cooperative learning has been infused with a new vitality in enhancing student autonomy and control over the language learning process. Adopting qualitative and quantitative approaches, this paper is an empirical study introducing the implementation process of cooperative learning of English writing in network environment. The research results show that cooperative language learning in network environment can achieve better effects in improving the English writing skills of Chinese students. Moreover, the research also shed some lights on pedagogy, illustrating the roles of the machine, the student and the teacher in task-based cooperative learning and showing that cooperative learning in network environment does benefit college English
